Through Trials We Must Prevail!

Hey!!

So this week was for sure a difficult one but good, nonetheless, we grow in our most trying times.

THURSDAY- We did a lot of casa, which is awesome because I friggen love casa! I love working so much its crazy, its like I'm not Ben here haha its like I'm Anziano Glowa and when I'm here I just love to be working and doing the Lord’s work. We taught Samantha the law of tithing. She accepted so we have taught her everything and she is ready for baptism, but we are teaching her parents on Tuesday to see if they will let her be baptized. Right now her mom is okay with her doing it but her dad is not so we will see how things go. Then we had English class where we played this game that you write a famous person down and then put all the names into a pile and then pick one and put the paper on your forehead and ask questions to figure out who it is, pretty fun.

FRIDAY- We did weekly planning that went well. Just planning for our investigators and how we can help them and also get more of them. Today something cool happened. I got whacked by and old lady with her cane. Haha it was the first time that happened on my mission so I figured it was worth mentioning. Haha she whacked me and then I asked her what was wrong and then she asked what we wanted and I said we were here to talk about Jesus Christ and then she was yelling and waved her cane at us and then told us to leave haha. She didn’t hurt me when she hit me because I dodged it and it only hit my hand haha but some people eh? Haha we did referral hunting the last part of the day and we only saw one person who said he wasn’t interested. No one else was home. That’s all we did but it was a good day.

SATURDAY- We did more casa, but again we didn’t get in, haha we will continue to work hard and show our faith. We taught Vanessa at church and then walked to her house because her parents were having some party or something, or some get together with food, so we went to meet people and talk about the church and stuff. They were all really nice, no one was interested but we were able to show that we are just normal people and plus the food was AWESOME!!!!!!!!

SUNDAY- Easter Sunday! Hahaha church was only 2 hours long we had sacrament meeting and then we had priesthood and then we went to a member’s house for lunch it was wayyyyyyy good! We had lasagna and meat. I was soooooo stuffed but it was so good and then for desert we had tiramisu and the sister told me next time I go over she’s going to show me how to make it. She already gave me the recipe but she’ll actually show me. :) It was soooo good I cant explain how lucky I am to be here just to enjoy all the food. Haha don’t worry I'm not getting fat I'm just getting big boned hahaha joking. Afterwards we did casa, at first I was afraid to do casa and get yelled at but according to me when would have been a better time to talk about Christ than on the day he was resurrected? Anyways so if people started to get annoyed I would just say something like oh well today is all about Jesus so what do you believe about Jesus or something like that. I would refer to how they should be thinking about him, but in a non-snobby way. It was fine, we didn’t get in....again but we were able to do the Lords work.

MONDAY- We had district meeting which was awesome. I love district meeting because you feel the spirit sooooo strongly and it’s just like a refuge of the hard times of the mission I guess, like not getting in once all week or like getting in once all transfer, so I really like district meeting. We did scambio, so Anziano Wilkins (greenie) from Torino 1 came to Collegno. We had a lot of fun doing casa and talking and getting to know each other and helping each other out. We didn’t get in but I found the coolest old couple ever. Between a few missionaries we have this game with old people. Like obviously try and share the gospel with them but if they are not interested, just have fun with them haha not in like a bad way, just because they are so old they don’t know what’s going on haha. For example I was talking to this old couple and the husband kept saying he didn’t believe in Christ and he had no faith, and then I tried teaching him but it was going no where so I just tried being nice to him and trying to make sure that I could make his day. Anyways right before leaving I asked for a hug and he totally hugged me and said that he felt like my Italian grandfather because he never had children. Haha so I was able to make his day and help him feel special even though he didn’t want the gospel. Haha this game with old people is pretty fun and you make them feel really good too! :)

TUESDAY- We re-scambied and then had a lesson with Eddy one of our investigators. And we taught him the restoration to make sure he understood it. Anyway we gave him a baptismal date for the 14th of May and he accepted. Which is awesome so we are going to help Eddy progress and get him in that water! Hahaha then we did some casa and didn’t get in... Haha and then we had a lesson with Samantha and her parents. We watched the movie Finding Faith in Christ and then bore testimony and then let the parents talk about their feelings. According to them they didn’t see a difference and thought that our church was the same, so I explained the whole restoration for them and talked about authority and made it clear that we are not the same. Anyway then Samantha bore a really strong testimony about why she wants to get baptized and how she knows these things are true. The mother was fine with the baptism as long as Samantha was 100% sure and she was so the mother was fine. The father on the other hand was not and his point didn’t even make sense. We talked for a long time, up until 9 but there was no way to help him see the importance of it. I don’t feel it necessary to go into detail but pretty much how it ended it Samantha is not getting baptized this Saturday. She has to wait until she is 18 which is next March.... it was a happy and sad day: happy for Eddy but sad for Samantha. We have seen her progress so much and then this. Anyway she was way sad about it and really wanted to be baptized but I explained about how we need to respect her father and that she just needs to show him that she does have a testimony of these things and that she is 100% sure that this is what she wants. So it was too bad but Samantha knows that this is a trial of her faith and that this will make her stronger. It’s just too bad that things like this happen. But like I said before its these trials that make us stronger...

WEDNESDAY- I had to go to the police station with my comp because he needed to get his Permesso to be in Italy and that took a lot of time haha but yeah we did that and then our district leader and his comp came to Collegno to do a blitz, which means that they come into our city and work with us. And then they slept over. The district leader is Anziano Bulnick. He’s such a cool guy! Courtney I don’t know if you remember Sister Fletcher from the YSA but before I left she told me about a guy who was in the Milan mission and this is him. Anyways we are really good friends. He’s such a stud, anyway Courtney if you see Sister Fletcher, tell her that Anziano Bulnick and I are way tight hahaha!

So that was the week. It was a little hard because we haven’t gotten in doing casa in FOREVER but we know we only receive blessings after the trial of our faith and I know we will get in soon we just need to continue to show our faith and continue to work hard, we will just work 10 times harder next week to find the people Heavenly Father is preparing to hear this message. This week wasn’t the easiest either because we lost a baptism but that just means we need to find other people. Pray for us, I know you do and your prayers help a lot. I love you all so much. Just know that I love the work, I love everything about it, I love the door slamming, the cane hitting, and all the yelling. I love it because I'm not doing it for me I'm doing it for the Lord and for the people of Italy. This work is true, and I will not let up, slow down or shut up. I will continue and push and run and fight and do all I can to bring my brothers and sisters in Italy back to the fold. I love you all so much and just know how blessed I am to be here and to serve the Lord and to actually work in my life. I'm learning life long principles here and I'm so grateful for that. I love you all!

A Week in The Life...

Ciao Mia Famiglia :)

So this was a pretty good week. Something really crazy happened but I‘ll get to that later... so this week:

THURSDAY- The second half of Thursday, because I told you the first half last week, was we taught Samantha the Law of Chastity. It was my first time teaching it in English and in Italian haha but it went well. I kept it professional and it wasn’t awkward. In the end she accepted to keep it so all is well! I'm really excited for Samantha because she’s already accepted to keep 2 of the harder commandments; to keep the word of wisdom and the law of chastity, we will just see about tithing but I'm sure there wont be anything wrong with that either. That’s all we did that evening. We had English class and it was fun. Stefano also texted me and it was a little odd and then he called and he asked if it was only going to be me going to teach him. I explained no my comp is going to come and then I asked why do you want only me to come then he told me he needed to tell me something personal. It’s a little weird of a situation, anyways were teaching him the next day, and I asked Vanessa to come because the situation is getting weird.

FRIDAY- We had district meeting and it was really good. We talked about not losing faith in our visions and you have to have faith all the way to the end even if it doesn't seem possible to always have faith because the Lord can do all things. We also talked about love and how we need to love the people we teach and to love the work or else we wont have success. So faith and love; it was a good district meeting. Then we went to get Vanessa at school to walk to the bus stop to meet Stefano. He called 10 minutes before and cancelled so we just went to Vanessa's house and taught her. I don't know if I explained the whole Stefano's age thing. We don't know if he's 16 or 18 he said he was 16 and then like a week later her told us that he thinks the Book of Mormon is true and he feels safe to tell us he's really 18... a little odd but anyways we will get to the bottom of this! Friday night there was a GANS activity, Giovani Adulti Non Sposati...(YSA) we went because Samantha and Vanessa were going, and well actually we went to encourage them to go to meet other YSA people to make more friends. We went and it was the 4 of us and then Bebo, short for Benjamin, came who is in our ward and it was the 5 of us so we played indoor soccer and Bebo got to know Sam and Vanessa better so I guess it worked out. Anyway we are going back next week and hopefully there will be more YSA people.

SATURDAY- We did our weekly planning because Friday was district meeting. it was a good planning session we actually had more than 2 people to plan for so it was fun! We planned on giving Eddie (someone we found) a baptismal invite for the 7th of may this week.  Then we went to brother Bowcuts house, his wife is less active, anyway we had to take a train to Pinerolo for that which takes like an hour but we taught them about making choices and used the talk by President Monson in the 2003 general conference entitled choose ye this day. It’s a really good talk you should read it. :) Hopefully she makes the decision to come back to church. Then we had a ward party and it was a pizza party! It was awesome, every family in the ward made a pizza and then there was a pizza tasting contest to see who made the best pizza. Over 20 Italian pizzas in one room, could a missionary ask for anymore...I think not! Haha it was soooooooo good! It was a good night to eat and chat and play games. It kind of reminded me of the things that our ward does, like the BBQ for example, anyway it was awesome and the pizzas were sooooo good! :) Also Saturday night I got a call from brother Quaresima from our ward, he said someone couldn’t give a talk and he wanted me to give a 10 min filler talk on whatever I wanted to talk about haha. I accepted obviously but in my head I'm thinking, the first person you call is someone who isn’t even fluent and is a missionary who has to do a million other things? Haha anyways I just got up a bit earlier the next morning and prepared it. I did it on testimonies, a little different than how I did it back home before I left. I just did a what, how and a why to testimonies. It went really well and I spoke with authority haha everyone loved it. It was the first time that I bore such strong testimony that I almost cried haha I cant explain it, when you bear your testimony in another language, you feel the spirit but you are focusing so much on the language that its not really from the heart if that makes sense. Anyway this one was like as if I was talking in English so it was really cool to see how I'm growing in the language. I was grateful to do this talk and to show myself how much I really know. I must know a little if I could prepare a talk by myself with such little notice haha I really love speaking in Italian hahaha.

SUNDAY- I just gave my talk as wrote about and it went really well. A bunch of people came up and thanked me and it was awesome! :)  Then we did casa the rest of the day and didn’t get in.

MONDAY- We had interviews with President. We went to Alessandria and were there pretty much all day. My interview went well, we talked about how he appreciates me and all that I do and how he’s proud of me with my new companion. And then he asked me to do a teach 2 find on him, that little teach a principle, ask a question, bear testimony thing, so I did and he really liked it and he then asked about if I was worthy and then it was done. No longer then 10 minutes haha it was good though. I love President and I know he’s an inspired man of God. Then we got back and it was time to go to bed hahaha. It’s weird how on the days you don’t do anything you are the most tired haha. Also at interviews while people are being interviewed there is like a training going on, so we got trained on how to do teach 2 find better and it was awesome. And then we played a type of jeopardy which was way fun!

TUESDAY- We didn’t really do much. We did a lot of casa but didn’t get in. We will continue to do our best! We did teach Sam and she is learning so fast. We talked to her about both her parents being okay with the baptism. Her mom is okay with it but her dad wants her to wait until she is 18. Anyway, she talked to her dad and she said that both her parents want to come to our next lesson to see if this is a cult thing. I guess so it’s a good opportunity to get them into the church. I’ll try my hardest and for sure bring in the spirit. Hopefully all will go well, please pray for the situation. Thank you.

TODAY- We are in Torino with other missionaries and we are going to play Frisbee and soccer. I'm pretty excited!

I love so you all so much and thank you for your prayers and support. You are everything to me! I pray for you all the time. The church is true and we do have a prophet today. I love you all soo much.

A new trainee and five miracles this week in Collegno.

HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!

So this week was for sure a change.... a change for the better. I've grown so much in this last week. With having to be senior comp and to lead the lessons and to just be a trainer, haha. It's amazing how the Lord knows what you need when you need it because I for sure needed to train so that I could grow, its awesome!  This week a lot happened, we may say that it was a week of miracles.I'll give more details later in the letter.

WEDNESDAY- Didn't do much because Anziano Zippro was packing to go home. We are good friends, I'm sure we will be hanging out after the mission. So that night we went to FHE at church so that he could say good bye to everyone there.

THURSDAY-  The big day.... this is the day where everything changed, haha. My stomach was turning the whole 2 hour train ride to Milano. I was nervous but also excited because I knew I would be growing this next transfer. When we got to the Milano station everyone that was training was there and we all travelled to the Milan church together to meet our greenies. There were 3 other people in my group from the MTC that were training, 2 elders and a sister in my group. So I wasn't so nervous anymore haha. President is making a lot of younger people train because after this next group for people leave there is a huge gap of missionaries so he'll need young missionaries to step it up I guess you could say.  Any ways when we got there we had a special meeting for the trainers where we talked about the kind of people we need to be for our greenies. The example we need to set and to help them start their missions off well.  Afterwards we went into another room where the greenies were already there, they were on the right and the trainers sat on the left.  A few inspiring words were given by the assistances and President and also Sister Wolfgramm.  Afterwards they made all the trainers stand up and go to the back of the room. They started calling up greenies and describing where they were going or who their comp would be. When you found out if they were talking about you or not you would run to meet your companion and hug. It was pretty intense haha of course I was last hahaha, I just knew I was going to be last. It was me and this guy from my group that were last so we both went up and they called for both the greenies to come up also.  It was there when they told Anziano Taggart that he was going to serve in Collegno!!!!!! So my companion is Anziano Taggart, from where do you ask???.... I'll give you a hint he's from the Factory.... you got it Farmington Utah! hahahahahaha all of my comps have been from Utah. I think I have a goal to have only Utah comps hahaha anyways I love Anziano Taggart. We get a long great and we work hard which is good. He's like 6 foot 3, blond hair looks like Mike Ohran hahaha. He's a really good guy.  He's not the most confident person and his language is getting better, but I know the Lord has put us together because he knows that together we will make miracles and we already have :)  After we met we ate lunch and then headed home.  We had English class nothing new or exciting it was fun as always. We had to go to Torino to sleep at the Anziani apartment there because they were painting ours. Anyways on the bus ride there I was talking to people (you know doing what a missionaries supposed to do:P) hahahaha Anyways I was talking to this kid Stefano. He's 16 and he's way interested.  It's always weird talking to young people about God because you think sometimes..."well are they really taking this seriously or are they just joking around" anyways so this kid was awesome and we got an appointment with him for Monday. That was miracle number 1 a possible new investigator.  Anyways we went to the apartment and crashed because we were so tired. I didn't sleep at all. The missionaries only had 1 extra mattress and I let my greenie have it and I slept on the hard cold ground because in Italy they don't believe in carpet hahaha Anyways let's just say it was a long night haha but you can learn something from anything :)

FRIDAY- We made our vision for the transfer. We prayed to know what the Lord wanted. When we prayed I felt very strongly that God wants 5 baptisms in Collegno this transfer. I kind felt like Nephi again when the Lord asked him to build a ship he didn't say why, he said where do I go to find the things to make tools. So when I felt that, all I thought was "alright Lord where do we go to find these people that you have prepared". Anyways with a vision we have specific goals that help us achieve the main vision in this case, it's 5 baptisms.  We have 3 other factors that we know that if we do these things we will find the people God has prepared for us. We are going to be 100% obedient and we are going to focus on being punctual like getting out on time coming back in time and stuff like that. We are going to talking at least 20 people this is calling venti (invite), so for example it's 20 other people like if we are doing street at that point the people we talk to don't count as part of the 20. It only counts if its not part of the finding work you are doing then, for example if we are going to a lesson on bus and we talk to someone that counts or if we are doing casa and we told to someone from going to one apartment building to another that counts. As one we know that as we put our faith in this God will put people in our path that are looking for this message, like Stefano the boy I talked to the night before. Our other goal has to do with the book of Mormon, as a mission we have a basic standards and one of us is to give 1 book of Mormon away each day our goal is to give at least 2 out each day. If we do these 3 things the Lord will bless us and we will find people to baptize.  Right now we have Samantha which is getting baptized the 30th. Titus, unfortunately we dropped because we haven't heard from him in longer then a week and we need to focus all our time on finding people that are ready.  When we made this goal all we had in mind was Samantha so that means we need 4 other people, and so like I said before we have it in our head not why 4 other people but where will we go to find these 4 people.  That night we taught Samantha about the word of wisdom and she accepted, it's amazing her willingness to follow the things that are true. It's AWESOME!

SATURDAY- We did casa alllllllllllday (which I havn't done for a while) anyways long story short we didn't get in, but we did talk to this one guy Eddi and he told us to come back on Monday so we may not have goten in but we felt really good about this Eddi guy he just seemed humble.

SUNDAY-Church and then casa again all day, we didn't get in but we got a call for the sisters in Torino they had a referral, this lady names Elena she's about 30 and she is really interested about the gospel so we said we would give her a call.

MONDAY- We went to Eddi's house and he was actually there and invited us in. We taught the restoration and gave him a book of Mormon he wants us to come back, it was awesome! He is from Peru but has been here 9 years so he speaks and understands Italian. We didn't have a Spanish book of Mormon with us so we said we will leave him with the Italian one and then give him the Spanish one when we come back. He is really solid and I'm really excited for Eddi.  We also taught Stefano, that kid I met on the bus. We met him at a bus stop and walked to his house when we got there I asked him if his mom was home and he said no, we couldn't go into his house because he's a minor so we sat outside and talked. He hasn't told his mom about us which is not good because parents need to be okay with their child taking the lessons so we told him that. Anyways we shared with him the book of Mormon and where it came from and all that. We told him to read some of it before we come back. We also taught him to pray and told him to pray about it.  We told him that he had to tell his mom before we came back or we wouldn't be able to.  15 mins after we went home we got a call from Stefano telling us that he's sorry he lied but he's really 18 years old....I don't believe him. He said that he read and he feels the truth of the book of Mormon so he felt safe to tell us his true age.  My guess is that he doesn't want to tell his mom because its a little weird 2 americans teaching his little 16 year old boy. So he doesn't want his mom to freak out and then him not be able to talk with us and get the lessons. So we are working with that, we have an appointment with him Friday. I think I will ask to see his ID to see how old he really is and explain how we want to go and see is mom so she can see that we are harmless and we just talk of Christ and that she is welcome to listen also. I will give you more details on that.  Anyways then I called the referral we got from the sisters and Elena is really cool, we have an appointment with her on Thursday and she just bluntly said I'm interested to learn more.

TUESDAY- We did casa and we got in for the first time together!!!!!! It didn't go anywhere which was too bad but that's okay we are improving :) haha we got the idea to call this ex-investigator, names Paola, anyways I called her and she sounded so excited to be talking to missionaries she said she was free on Friday so we have an appointment with her on Friday.

WEDNESDAY- We went to Torino to hang out with the other missionaries, we went to a market but we went kinda late so a lot of it was closed, but I made a good buy, mom you would be so proud of me. They there selling these cool belts for 6£ and I got 2 of then for 5£ hahaha thats how good I am haha. I got the guy to give me one for 3 then I got him down to half. Then he said do you want another one and I said yeah that one and I pointed to another one and then said that I only had 5 £ haha which wasn't the most truthful thing I've ever said. But then he just gave me both of them for 5 £ so I got these really cool belts that go good with my suits :) Anyways we just chilled and hung out we didn't email because the myldsmail was down.  So we had FHE and it was fun fun fun :)

THURSDAY- Today we taught Elena and she is way awesome. I had made a whole plan on teaching the restoration and had all these questions I was going to ask and scriptures to use and all this and then when she started talking she said her dad died in December...So I did what I think any good missionary would do and I throw out the lesson I prepared and taught the plan of salvation. I'm glad I did. Maybe it wasn't as good because it wasn't as prepared and maybe it was a little all over the place, but its what she needed and I know she felt the spirit and that she was grateful for this plan that God has prepared for us. Then I explained how next time we want to explain how we got this plan and how we got this church so I led it into the restoration for next lesson. We still gave her a book of Mormon because she asked about it so we gave her one and talking about it and she seemed really interested. It was a really good lesson, and a good experience to teach people not lessons and to follow the spirit. I know its what she needed. I should be writing you right now haha because we were going to teach EDDI today but we got him just before he was heading out because he had to go to the train station to get a cousin so we had time to change book of Mormons and to give him a chapter to read so we had time to write our families so thats why I'm writing today :)

So to summarize this week. It was a week of miracles, we had a vision to baptize 5 people when we only had Samantha, but now we have 1)Samantha 2)Stefano 3)Eddi 4)Elena and 5) Rosa that ex-investigator that we will teach tomorrow

We didn't get in a lot doing casa but we have been blessed with new investigators because of the efforts we are putting in to do all we can to proclaim the gospel. I know this church is true and although Anziano Taggart and I are young we are being blessing because we are working hard. Maybe we don't speak the language the best but we have been called by a Prophet of God to proclaim and to teach the things that we know and WE KNOW that our message is true! Get ready to hear about Collegno in the news and about the people being lined up for baptism because its HAPPENING! hahaha
I love you all so much and I'm so grateful for you love and support. I'm super grateful for the Lord because I know without Him I am nothing but with Him I am everything. I can do all things. So I will not boast of myself but I will boast of my God because it is only with Him that we can do this work. This church IS true, the book of Mormon IS the word of God and WE DO have a prophet on the earth today that leads and guides us. I love this work so much you have no idea. I want to proclaim the gospel forever because that is where I find true happiness helping other come unto Christ. I love you my family!!!!!

Love your son Anziano Glowa

Love you!

P.s. Happy 22nd anniversary its because of you that the people of Italy get to hear the gospel through my mouth. So thank you for being my parents and helping me be here. I know what I need to be doing, thank you for your great example in showing me how to get true happiness. It's because of you that I am on a mission because of your great examples and the love I felt at home and the atmosphere in which Jason and I lived in. I love you so much!!!!! congratulations and keep up the great work you guys :)

sorry for the long email haha love you bye!

I'm a little nervous to be training next transfer......

Hello everyone!!!!

so I'll start off with what everyone wants to know, am I leaving or am I staying, who's my companion, or am I training? What's happening I don't know?? haha just joking I'll tell you. As you know Anziano Zippro is going home, so it wouldn't make sense for me to get transferred. But I know who my next comp is going to be, well I do and I don't. I'm getting a greenie, haha. President asked me to train, I'll go into more detail on the day I got the call which was Monday but yeah I'm training this transfer in Collegno :)

so this week...

WEDNESDAY- I told you we went to Torino with a member family to buy shoes. Well I didn't end up buying shoes, there wasn't anything I liked and it was all way expensive so I didn't get anything. We were walking down town and there was this chocolate display thing going on. It was kinda like a fair it was really cool they were giving free chocolate and everything and it was fun to walk around and eat :) We didn't really do anything besides Torino but it was fun and it was fun to go with someone that knew where they were going.

THURSDAY- Today we taught Titus, it went well. He still hasn't found another place to live but he has a strong testimony. I know once he gets over this he will get baptized but we just need to get him over this trial.  We had English class, it was fun as always, we just talked in English and helped the people with there grammar, Anziano Zippro made brownies so we ate brownies and just taught English. nothing else really happened.

FRIDAY- We didn't really do anything we did out weekly planning but besides that we didn't do a lot . We did casa obviously but nothing exciting, haha sorry this week isn't becoming the most fun but it gets better I promise.

SATURDAY-  So today we were supposed to go to the church in Torino to watch General Conference at 6 so we would get the Saturday morning session live. But the system wasn't working, at least for the English so we just went home so we didn't get to watch  Saturday Conference. On the way home Anziano Zippro wanted to get shoes before he goes home so we stopped in a store to look at shoes. I saw a cool pair that I liked and they were only £30 so I got them they are black and they kinda look like slippers. Anyways it was too bad that we didn't get to watch conference I was bummed because I was looking so forward to it

SUNDAY-  Sunday morning Anziano Zippro's family picked us up and wanted to show us where his grandfather was buried. I got to go to an Italian cemetery which was pretty cool. It's weird how they do things. After they bury someone, that person spends like 10 years in one spot of ground and then gets moved to another spot for like 20 years. Then they get moved again and you have to pay yearly to have those people there so its like a never ending money drainer. Not that family isn't important it's just a lot of money that they have to spend.
Anyways after that they drove us to the church so that we could watch conference at 11, we started with the priesthood session. Let me see my favourite talk at priesthood was the one given by President Uchtdorf. He is such an amazing speaker.  That was from 11 to 1 then at 2 we watched Saturday afternoon session that was a really good session. The talks I liked  were the ones by Dallin H Oaks on desire and also M Russell Ballard's talk about the small and simple things.  That was from 2 to 4 and then from 4 to 6 we had break we did a little exchange with the zone leaders and did casa in a near by area. I was with Anziano Kober he's a cool guy from Austria. He goes home next transfer but he is way awesome, such a good missionary.  From 6 to 8 we had the Sunday morning session which I loved! the talks I liked the most were by Paul V Johnson on trials and how we get the blessing after the trial of our faith I think that was my favourite talk, truly amazing.  But obviously I loved it when the Prophet spoke and he mention the Rome temple haha but when he also mention marriage ;) hahahaha but yeah conference was truly amazing.
I also LOVED Elder Bednars talk on revelation I loved it because I feel that's how I got my testimony let me explain. He talked about line upon line precept upon precept I don't think there was one event that made me say okay now I believe. I really think it was all the little things that helped me always know, and that helped me know that these things are true. When I would pray about the Book of Mormon I wouldn't get a burning feeling, I just knew it was true because of that line upon line, because in my heart I already knew it was true. I really loved his talk alot. Conference is sooooooo awesome I wrote a bunch of questions and got answers to them all by listening to conference it was awesome :)

MONDAY- So at lunch time Anziano Zippro's toe was really hurting him because he had an ingrown toenail. So he called sister Wolfgramm to ask what to do. She didn't answer, but 2 mins later the phone rings, he picks it up thinking its going to be sister Wolfgramm but it wasn't...it was President Wolfgramm asking to speak to me.  As soon as I knew he wanted to speak to me I knew something was up... I tried  to act casual haha
Me: " Hey President how's it going"
President: " Oh good good just calling to see how everything is going"
Except we both know that's not why he's calling at all hahaha. Anyways we talked a bit about the transfer that just happened and he told me how he really appreciates my efforts and how he knows I'm a great example and missionary and all that and then
he says
" I know who your next companion is going to be...."
then I'm like " oh yeah? who is it"
and then he says " well i dont really know who yet, but youre getting a new new missionary... I want you to train"
now in my head I'm thinking "dang I don't even know the language yet hahaa" but obviously I accepted.
I'm  little nervous because I really dont think I know the language haha maybe I'll get an Italian and he'll really help me a lot who knows. I'm really excited and nervous for the unknown. In memory of dad "I'm like 80%nervous and like 20% excited or maybe I'm 20% nervous and 80% excited who knows" haha .I know that President is inspired of God and if he wants me to train I will do so. I feel like Nephi when he was asked to build a ship, he didnt say he didn't know how to do it he just said Lord tell me where to go so that I can find tools to build this ship. Nephi has such amazing faith. I'm going to have the same attitude about it, yes I'm scared haha everyone is, but the attitude I need to have it " Lord where do you want me to go to find people to teach and baptize" and with faith all things are possible just like it says in Moroni 7:33. I believe it says that Jesus said if you have faith in me you will have power to do whatever I see "opportuna" (that's the Italian word and I can't think of a translation right now haha) I guess it's like whatever I see fit, yeah that works out.  So I will do my best, I know that we will both be humble because we are both new and that the Lord will bless us on our willingness to do His will :) I'm so excited so I don't know who it is yet. I will go get him tomorrow  and then we will come back to collegno.  How it works is that everyone training will go to the Milano 2 building where all the greenies are and then they will tell us who our greenie is and thats that. So I'll tell you more about it next week obviously, and then the miracles will be flowing in. Today we also taught Samantha and she is progressing very well.  Shes getting baptized for sure :)

TUESDAY- Didn't really do that much. We taught Titus and then we went to the church and taught Vanessa we didn't really do anything else. Anziano Zippro started packing because he's going home and then I just thought about training more and more haha The more I think about it the more I just want it to happen so I can stop thinking about it. If that makes any sense haha but I'm wayyyyyy excited its like the talk given by Paul V Johnson we see the blessings after the trial of our faith. This will be a trial because I'm sure I won't even know half of what I'm doing but the Lord has power to do all things. If He has power to rise someone from the dead why wouldn't He have power to help me with Italian or help me train? I love this gospel its so true and I love sharing it with people and blessing their lives with it.  I love being a missionary and serving our Father, its the least I can do for all the blessings that I have and will have. I know that I'm getting blessings for serving Him. I pray for you always and I love you allllllll sooo much! have a great week and I'll talk to you next week :)

I LOVE YOU MY FAMILY!!!!!!!!!

Love Anziano Glowa

P.S thanks for the encouragement mom I really appreciate it. I guess I'm just nervous for the unknown which is normal. I'll do my best to make you all proud, haha. I just think it would have been more wise for me to be in Italy a little longer before I train, haha I'm still a baby in the mission haha anyways trust in the Lord, thanks Sariah :) haha (Nephi's mom) hahaha love you bye! :)

thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love you my family :)
